Wells Fargo Awards Transformance $10,000 Home Ownership Counseling Grant
Transformance has secured a generous donation from Wells Fargo & Company to continue educational home ownership outreach programs. A $10,000 check was presented to CEO Daniel B. Prescott Jr., which will allow the nonprofit to expand initiatives such as pre-purchase classes to the public and additional HUD certification for Transformance counselors.
Facility will allow for integrated services delivery directly to clients
DALLAS (June 27, 2017) – Transformance, an integrated financial capability nonprofit, has officially opened its Economic Empowerment Center. The redesigned and renovated lower floor of Transformance’s corporate headquarters will now provide 5,000 square feet of multiple workspace options for other nonprofits and community organizations to conduct social services outreach. The completion of the EEC was funded through generous contributions from the Texas Real Estate Commission and Texas Capital Bank.

DALLAS, TEXAS (Nov. 2, 2016) – Transformance, a fully integrated social services delivery nonprofit, recently joined with local FedEx team members to distribute food to the families of Dallas’ Uplift Williams Preparatory school.
The donation event, which took place on Wednesday, Oct. 19, was organized by Transformance and Services of Hope, a nonprofit dedicated to helping children and promoting education in our communities. The FedEx team members were invited to participate and did a remarkable job of assembling multiple food staples for all ages into over 700 individual bags.

Bender is a noted computer scientist, media specialist and educational champion and will serve as the founding member of the technology advisory group at the newly established Center for Social Innovation. He will also serve as the managing editor of the Center’s quarterly Social Innovation Journal. He was a founding member of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Media Lab, where he served as the executive director from 2000 to 2006. Bender’s book, Learning to Change the World, on technology, learning and social entrepreneurship, was published in 2012.

A record-breaking $204,000 was raised from the nearly 500 attendees at last week’s luncheon, held at the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Love Field. The amount is the most ever raised in the six-year history of the event and came largely from matching gifts and those bidding on the extravagant collection of purses donated to the cause of helping women and families in need.
