Transformance Cares: Staff Serves Hundreds of Dallas Residents

On December 17, 2016, Transformance staff and volunteers – in partnership with Services of Hope and Inspiring Tomorrow's Leaders – offered financial education, food, clothing and toys to hundreds of Dallas residents at Operation Care International's 13th annual Christmas Gift for the Homeless at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.

More than 18,000 homeless and families in need were served by 3,500 volunteers from dozens of nonprofit organizations, churches, corporations and small businesses.

“Transformance was honored to participate in this community-wide event and work side-by-side with Operation Care International to meet the needs of local residents,” said Yolanda Perez, EVP and COO at Transformance. “Our staff and volunteers were able to connect with individuals and families in need and make their holidays a little brighter.”

Transformance Outreach Coaches and Navigators met personally with event attendees, discussing basic budgeting, debt management and housing issues. Perez said the experience resonated with her staff and helped remind them of Transformance’s agency mission: to empower individuals and families to achieve financial freedom.

“Many of our staff have shared stories about their experience at the event,” Perez said. “Whether heart-warming or humorous, these experiences will inspire our team in the new year to continue serving working families and moving them into the middle class.”

The 14th annual Christmas Gift for the Homeless is slated for December 16, 2017.

The collaboration and partnerships are part of Transformance's Integrated Services Delivery Model (ISDM), a process that enables the non-profit to expand its services to clients and Dallas communities. The three pillars of the ISDM are financial education, social services and workforce development. These additional areas of focus support Transformance's mission to "empower individuals and families to achieve financial freedom."
